Le Le's Day (1 year and counting. . . )

We are still not sure what to call today (Gotcha Day, Family Day, Le Le Day, …), but its a day we couldn't be happier to celebrate.  It has been 1 year since we met our beautiful Le Le in Taiwan.  Since then our entire world has changed.  When looking back on this last year, I recall many challenges, difficult days and NIGHTS, and yet I'm overwhelmed with pure joy and love.  For those of you that have been touched by adoption, you know the ups and downs along this process.  Even though we have been home a year, I still feel like I am right in the middle of the process and not through it yet.  I'm realizing this will continue to be our adoption journey and not a destination.

Brian and I have kept our countdown running from when we met Le Le for the fist time and last night he looked at his phone just in time to see we had passed the 1 year mark by 24 minutes exactly! (last night our time was Taiwan's June 18th).  It brought us right back to that crazy day. We were full of love for Le Le, the orphanage that took such good care of our daughter, Le Le's birth mother who gave her life and created our family, and for each other as we went through this process together.

I wanted to thank all of your support and love through this process.  My friends and family are amazing!  I also have found a huge source of strength through my adoption support groups.  We are part of a great group of Taiwan Adoption Families and they have supported us through all these ups and downs.

We are blessed daily!

6 Months Home

National Adoption Day
Too much has happened in such a small amount of time.  Le Le is officially a U.S. citizen, a member of our Eternal Family, and the cutest little girl in the whole world!  We are blessed every day!  In the last few months we have celebrated 1st holidays and enjoyed family and friends.  It has been a busy few months.  I would say everything was next to perfect but when it comes to sleep, we are no where near perfect.  Le Le is not a great sleeper and can function very well on little to no sleep, whereas her mom and dad don't function quite as well.

These pictures are just a few of our special moments that words can not explain.  Being a mother has changed my life and I love every minute of it.
