Wishes #85-87

Wishes #85-87 were a welcome surprise from the Simmons Family.  These wishes were such a great addition.  This support comes from loving fiends that knew me as I grew up and wanted to show their support!  Thank you for all the support and for waiting with us!

Wish #84

Wish #84 is from the Hone family.  Brian and Brad have been best friends every since he was little and they are all a big part of our family.  We love their "Dare to Dream" wish!

Wish #83

Wish #83 is from the Jackson Family!  We miss them constantly!!  Their wish is so sweet and she is going to be so excited to have them as family.  Their fabric is some of my very favorite print and the quilt colors and design are very similar.  Great taste Jacksons!

Wish #82

Wish #82 is from the Woolley Family!  They understand first hand the ups and downs of adoption and they are such a strength to our family.  I love that they chose the Sock Monkey which is one of my favorites.  Their wish is so fitting and I truly hope she knows how much people from both sides of the world love her!

Wish #79-81

Wishes #79-81 are from the Wynn Family.  Each on is unique and we are grateful for all the support.

Wish #78

Wish #78 is from Uncle Kim and Aunt Susy!  They were so quick to get us this wish and I am so behind getting this wish posted.  We love it!

Wish #77

Wish #77 is wish #2 from Jayson and Dani Arter.  This time the wish is straight from Cinderella!  If anyone knows about wishes coming true, Cinderella is your girl.

Wishes #74-76

Wishes #74-76 are from the Ortega Family!  They gave us a poem called Cherish this Time by Joanna Fuchs.  The best part is that we also received wishes from both kids too.  Thanks to Shyanne and Nic for their extra special personal wishes that I know she will love!!  All of their fabrics fit perfectly with the quilt.

Wish #73

Wish #73 is from Jayson and Dani Arter.  We love the quote from the one and only Pooh Bear!

Wish #72

Wish #72 is from Eileen Allred. We love the Allred Family and we love their wish.  "A Knowledge of your Infinite Worth."

Wish #71

Wish #71 was created by my mom on behalf of her grandmother and grandfather.  She felt they should also have a wish.  She included Psalms 23.

Wish #69 and #70

Wish #69 and #70 is from the Blum family including her Aunt Aaron, Uncle Mike, and cousins Sam, Sydney, and Nathan. The cousins cannot wait to do things cousins do together.  I am so glad she is going to have a great supportive family.

As for her Aunt and Uncle, their wish is more for Brian and I.  They wish that we will take time to enjoy everything that parenthood brings.  We cannot wait to be parents and we look forward to all the boo-boos to kiss and the snuggle time.  We love you all and she is blessed to have each one of you in her life.  

Wish #68

Wish #68 is from Christy Harris.  She has been a friend of mine for a very long time and I love her fabric and wish.  I was so glad she included a Lady Bug on her wish since it is a good luck sign in Asian adoption. My favorite line of her wish is "Being adopted only means that instead of you growing in my tummy you grew in my heart."  I feel like this completes my thoughts of becoming a mother.

Wish #67

Wish #67 is from my cousin's family.  Maria and Todd have really showed us so much support and we love the kids t-shirt the turned into a fabric square for the quilt.  The horses are so fitting of our family and I am grateful for the meaning.

Wish #66

Wish #66 is from Tracy Keniston.  She is a dear friend from PA school and a large supporter of our adoption.  She just informed me that one of her other friends was recently matched and I couldn't be more thrilled for them.  We continue to be cautiously optimistic about our wait time.  Her wish is from Rascal Flatts and she made it fit perfectly for our little one.  Thanks Tracy!

Long Awaited Update

First I want to apologize for all of our followers.  We have not updated in a long time.  We have had a run of not so great news and I became somewhat defeated.  I stopped working on the quilt and posting in on the blog.  When I realized I wasn't going to hit my goal of our timeline, I lost a little motivation but I am determined to get back on track.

This is where we are in the process.  Taiwan changed their laws and adoption process.  The last few months has been a lot of changes.  Taiwan is now requiring home studies for their domestic adoptions and additional education prior to starting the adoption process.  This is similar to what we already require in the U.S. This will be very beneficial for their domestic adoption process.  Also, they started a central registry for all the orphanages that allows for all the children to be available throughout the country for adoption.  They must be available for domestic adoption only for the first 45 days and then become available for international adoption.  Since this is a new process, all the children in the country were put on hold June 1st for 45 days.  No adoptions occurred during this time and no updates were given.  This hold just ended last week and we are very hopeful for a new update soon.

This process continues to be the hardest decision we have ever made but we continue to be hopeful and eager to become parents.  I am close to finishing the entire top portion of my quilt and will post pictures in the next few days.  I also plan to keep posting wishes.  Thank you so much for all of your support and keep hanging in there with us.

Wish #65

Wish #65 is from CA and Thayne.  She did an amazing job creating an entire square as a reflection of their wish.  They wish that the little one will know that she has come to a house filled with love!

Wish #63 is from Uncle Pete and Joan.  "Our wish for your baby and the wish for you too, is that the good Lord will bless you through and through".

Wish #62

Wish #62 is the second wish from Josh and Dani!  Dani wanted a wish with a Dragonfly and I think she found the perfect one.

Wish #61

Wish #61 is from The Perkins Family.  Their wish is that all her dreams come true.  I LOVE the disney quote!

Wish #60

Wish #60 is from the Glaziers.  This wish is for her to have fun, happiness, and laughter!  THis was a great surprise of a wish and I love it.  Thank You!

Wish #59

Wish #59 is from The Button Family!  Nancy and I have been great friends since high school and we were also roommates at BYU Hawaii.  That is what makes her fabric so special.  This fabric is from the original decorations of the Polynesian Cultural Center.  Their wishes is about living the spirit of Aloha!  This could not be more perfect.

Wish #58

Wish #58 is from the Hopkins Family.  They have been so supportive.  Their wish was a song by Michael McLean, "From God's Arms to My Arms to Yours".  They gave us their wish with a whole book of songs with the Michael Mclean CD about adoption.  These songs are from the perspective of the baby, the biological parents, and the adoptive family.  It made me cry right away.  It is so touching and I love to have it.  Thank you!

Wish #57

Wish #57 is from Matt and Carly Rudberg.  Their wish is for her to hurry home!  What a great wish!!  We have been wishing the same thing but we are unable to get an update on our timeline from our agency. It is frustrating and hard to deal with.  All we know is that it could be any day but we wish it was today.

Wishes #51 - #56

Wishes #51 - #56 are from numerous individuals at my Nana's Assisted Living Facility.  When she passed away they wanted to complete a wish since she didn't get the chance to.  My mom and I did a craft day with them and this is what we created.  A few more are on there way.  She will appreciate the support.
